Connexions Somerset is an advice and guidance service for 13-19 year olds. It's a place where young people can go to get information, advice, guidance and support. Connexions links all organisations that work with young people including schools, colleges, training providers, youth groups, social services, youth offending teams etc. This means young people can get information and support on things that matter to them

Fyne Times produce a monthly magazine for the gay and lesbian community which is topical, well produced and completely non-explicit. You can pick one up from Connexions offices www.fyne.co.uk has been developed along the same principles as their magazine, maintaining an upbeat, and energetic image, with no explicit content.

The SCC Integrated Youth Servces Team is part of the County Council's Children and Young People's Services Directorate. Their aim is to work with young people aged 13-19 years to help them maximise their potential in a number of ways.

The Somerset C-Card is a totally free service offering free condoms and sexual health information and is available to all young people in Somerset. Sometimes there's a lot of pressure to have sex especially if all your mates are talking about it. It's important to remember that the average age when people have sex is 16, but you're not unusual if you wait until you're older – many people do!
The Schools OUT Student Tool Kit is for young people in any British secondary educational setting who are – or are perceived to be - lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender/transsexual. It is also useful for your friends and family members. Most of the Student Tool Kit is relevant for all schools. Some areas are equally applicable to primary schools.
