My Role:
I'm a Volunteer with 2BU and am happy to lend a hand whenever I can to help create and sustain a safe place for the young people who attend the group so that they can have a space where they can relax, have fun and be their most authentic selves.

 

I am most proud of: The resilience and compassion of our community. There really is nothing better than seeing young people be able to relax and thrive in a safe and accepting environment made especially for them. Being able to pitch in and make that happen, even in a very small way, really helps me feel connected to the wider picture of the LGBTQ+ community. 

My perfect holiday would be: Although I've been on my own already, I would absolutely love to take my best friends to Japan and Hong Kong - and whilst we were there, I'd want to soak up as much folklore and street food as possible!! For something closer to home, it would have to be a full on ghost hunting trip in Edinburgh. 

My ultimate 3 course meal would be: To start, some proper street style tteokbokki with way too much cheese on top, then for main dim sum from Din Tai Fung, with their sea salt and cream black tea on the side. And for pudding... warm sticky toffee pudding with custard and vanilla cinnamon ice cream. I'm not asking much, am I?
