“2BU has really helped me feel less alone. It’s a place where I can just be myself without worrying what anyone thinks. The support has helped me deal with my anxiety and handle stuff I didn’t think I could. I feel listened to and understood, and it’s made a big difference to how I deal with challenges.” 

 

“Getting to the group can be tricky sometimes, but I can always check in online if I need to. My youth worker is at my school sometimes too, so I can reach out whenever I need. Knowing there are different ways to connect makes me feel safe and supported, and it really helps me handle things without feeling alone.”

Young people help shape our activities, support services and priorities. By involving them in decision-making, we create services that are relevant, empowering and responsive.

Specialist LGBTQ+ Support
2BU provides dedicated support for LGBTQ+ young people aged 11–25, offering safe spaces where they can explore identity, build confidence and connect with others who share similar experiences.

Trusted Local Experience
Since 2003, we have developed a strong reputation across Somerset for providing safe, inclusive support and advocating for the needs of LGBTQ+ young people within communities, schools and services.
